Oath:

Syntax: oath (no argument) Lists the oaths available

Syntax: oath <oath name>

Bound by faith, the Paladin proclaims their deepest intentions,

vowing to uphold the rights and conduct of his deity - be it in life

or death. At the utterance of  these valorous words divine powers

surge through the very spirit. This oath, unlike the divination of

their pious counterparts the Clerics and Priests, acts as a conduit

of direct power, affecting more than just wound healing or the

purging of ailments.

When activated, a Paladin evokes a very spiritual bond with the

divine, granting them physical and unworldly embodiment,

protective immunities and new found powers. It should be noted

that the gods are diverse and fickle. While the Paladin  may be

endowed with enhanced abilities, the lesser aspects of their deity

and oath will become theirs as well.

Furthering the Paladin's commitment with purpose and

willingness, the chosen will open themselves up to a more

virtuous state, allowing for multiple oaths to guide them

fearlessly forward upon the battlegrounds of their crusades.

Paladins are able to pledge themselves to Aspects in opposition

to those of their deity. Doing so however will somewhat dilute the

strength of the Oath's impact.  Paladins require certain Oaths in

order to use some of their skills while other Oaths will prevent,

hinder or modify usage of their existing abilities.

The Oath command exhausts once the limit for the number of

active Oaths has been reached. This lasts until the Paladin

advances a level. Once an Oath is made it lasts until death.  An

Oath can be broken once any exhaust has cleared.

Paladins who are not active followers of a deity are unable

to use this command.

"Sir Tevarith looked solemn for a moment before clenching a tight

fist. He yelled at the sky.. then at the ground before his gaze

settled on me.  A smile crossed his face as he gasped my

shoulder and proclaimed:

                By Tul-Sith, We are protected."
