You have to wonder about a mistress who gives her followers such a bad weapon as this. Did she want them to fail? Needless to say, the previous user has since sharpened the edges and better set the sword into the wood so that it would not fall off with every stab - at the expense of her once beautiful hands, which now bear many scars where the sword did slip and cut her. One time she was cut so bad her attacker, a drider, pitied her and left her - though she had to drag her body through the corridors to get help from another guard, leaving a blood trail. (Her supervisor since admonished her for leaving her post.)
